After a few Zoom meetings, the committee decided that it would great to start getting back out again & shooting. It's been that long since we first went into lock-down, I think there was a good few of us, who may of forgotten how to use our camera's. I have to be honest, I only just remember that we were going out & had to charge my batteries up! It's surprising how quickly you get out of the habit.
Our first outing (with social distancing & following government guidelines of course), was a small little trip to a church in Dalton, St. Michael's on Thursday 7th August 2020. We had 5 members join us, one of which was a junior member. Meeting in the car park & we had a little chinwag & catch up before we started. I know we've seen each other on Zoom, but it's not the same as being with your fellow members & friends, for banter & photography talk. Once we finished catching up, we set off around the grounds, admiring the beautiful & stunning little church. Once the sun started setting, the lights came on around the church grounds & the church took on a whole new look of it's own. But the light didn't last long & before we knew it, it was dark & the only light we had, was the blue in the sky & the lights shinning on the church. Some members made use of the dark & did some painting with light within the church grounds, others just stuck to the long exposures, a real mixed bag of photographs.
The weather was kind to us on Thursday night, few grey clouds between the white ones, but over all, a great first night out & many more to come. Few images from our members below.
