Youngest club member wins local photographic competition.

Xanthe Page, who at the age of 13 is (i think!) the youngest member of the club, has won an award for her photography.

The St Helens Open Art Competition is an annual event open to young people resident in the St Helens area, which aim to provide

"an amazing opportunity for young people in the Borough to showcase their artistic talents through a collective exhibition".

There are various categories young people can enter - including painting, drawing, mixed media, digital art, sculpture and photography.

Xanthe won first prize in the secondary photography category. There was an unusually large number of photography entrants this year, mainly from older students studying GCSE photography. Xanthe beat off the competition with this self-portrait she took using a tripod and timer.

Well done Xanthe on behalf of the club. (Winning image below)
