So what's happened in the month of February? The first event we had, was a Magmod night. For anyone who's into Off Camera Flash or wants to get into it, these are a great accessory to have. If you have a flash gun or speed light, the basic Magmod set comes with a rubber band, which fits around the head of your flash. The rubber band fits tightly and has magnets built into the front, which allows for the many attachments to just clip to the front of the flash. There are many different attachments available, from sphere's, bounce, grids to gels. All can change and alter the look of your image in an instant. The members got to see the the whole rig and set up and play and practice with a couple of members who stepped in as models. Lucas came in his hockey outfit and Jessica came in with some of her amazing dance outfits. All the members enjoyed the night and the models got to be in front of the camera for a change.
The following week, we should of had Painting with Light indoors, but due to the Artz Centre being used for the local elections, we had to cancel this event till March.
The third week saw us with the folio's. This was the most disappointing of all the folios we've ever had. The images and the scores we awful and out of 50 images, we felt there was only about 3 images that we could call good / ok. Unfortunately, we'll miss the next folio box, as it falls on the same night as we have Graham Currey in. This will be another excellent night and well worth missing the folio's for.
Our final event of February saw Cat attending. What a fantastic model she was. She came in dressed in a Tudor style dress, as Cat say, she was betraying her inner Anne Boleyn. With the lighting Ian had set up, the images the members took looked fantastic. We normally max out our studio nights to 8, but we decided to go up it to 10 members this time, as the lighting set up we have works
