On Thursday 17th June, members decided to pay a visit to Blundell Sands in Crosby. It was a stunning evening, with blue sky's, cool warm wind & pleasant company. We set off from the car park, heading down the footpath that runs along side the beach. On one side there's wild grasses & flowers, with views of the beach & on the other side, sand dunes, again with wild flowers (with a few surprises). Red Hot Pokers, Poppy's, wild Roses & more. At one point, all the members present were crowed around one patch of poppy's, as it seemed to have the perfect light & composition. It's surprising how we all managed to all get something different from one bunch of poppy's, but as photographers, we all see something different. We carried on down the path & was stopped by 2 little girls, who told us of some beautiful flowers we MUST take a picture of, so we did to please her (even though we had just photographed them, it made her happy), we thanked her & continued on our way. The people you meet on some of these walks we do are so nice & friendly & makes the evening more pleasurable. After a short while, we found a way down onto the beach, as we noticed the sun was going down faster than a ship's anchor. Parts of this beach is muddy, sludgy & difficult to walk on, but once you're past that you're fine. Using the large rocks & boulders, the members got down low & used the pools of water to find their composition. Before we knew it, the sun was go & our time was up. Over all, this was a very enjoyable evening to be had by all. Looking forward to our next event.
